Hey There!

I’m Joanna! Most recently I was the graphic designer and art director working to inspire the conservation of native plants with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas. With 16 years of experience in graphic design, specializing in publication design, my goal is to grab eyeballs long enough to tell important stories. I want to move people to take care of this world and all of the beings who live here.

I’m someone who thrives by being challenged, and knows the value of building healthy habits. Finding myself a bit too comfortable in my career, I’d like to see what else I can get into and develop skills to make positive changes in our communities. When I started out learning design, my goal was originally web design but my love of print pulled me in that direction. I’ve recently been excited to discover the opportunities that UX design offers through empowering people.

Outside of work, I prefer staying active by running, hiking, camping, being outdoors and working with my hands. Though I’m a bit introverted in large crowds, I enjoy being part of a team over solo work and value collaboration.
